We are seeking a full-time tractor trailer driver with a clean Class "A" driver's license. Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a federal background check. Additionally, applicants should not have any felonies or misdemeanors in the last five years.
The driver will be responsible for transporting U.S. Mail from Plattsburgh, NY to Albany, NY. Loading and unloading at each location will take between 15 to 30 minutes, during which the driver will assist. The loads consist of rolling stock and pallets, all of which will be unloaded by Postal personnel. Each trip will return to Plattsburgh, NY at the end of the shift. Shift lengths will range from 8 to 10.75 hours, and occasional coverage for vacations and extra trips may be required.
The pay rate is $27.71 per hour for regular wages, plus an additional $5.76 per hour for fringe benefits.
