This chair is a collectable, Early 19th century, American Hitchcock chair with rush seat. The back splat features the original gilt and bronze powder stencil decoration of two cornucopias holding fruit and surrounded by leaves. Gilt decorations on the back supports, front rail, and tops of the turned front legs have faded over time. Similar chairs can be found on eBay for $500-$700, but I just need it out of my garage.
