Offered is one Pair of Authentic Japanese Traditional Geta Sandals and Tabi Socks. Geta sandals are made of solid but lightweight natural Paulownia (Kiri) wood with classic black velvet thong-style hanao straps secured with traditional cord lacing. The two raised teeth (ha) on the sole not only provide elevation but also produce the distinctive clacking sound. White Tabi or split-toe socks, traditionally worn for formal occasions are specially crafted with an anti-slip sole to ensure you have a secure footing while moving around. Sandals measure 5" x 9-3/4" x 2-1/8" (Women's US 5-7-1/2) . Tabi socks are size 9-1/2" (Medium).
Traditionally worn with kimono or yukata, geta are elevated wooden sandals designed to keep the foot above dirt, mud, or snow, reflecting both practicality and elegance in Japanese daily life.
